The Experience

Molono Island (originally Mal'Ono, meaning Sand Island) is a 4.5 acre island (about 2 hectares) in a sheltered bay, surrounded by warm, gentle waters.  We can offer a variety of experiences to make your stay with us as pampered or as private as you prefer.  

Airport pickup is included, where you will be invited to the local markets to stock up on provisions before being taken by water taxi to your island home.  Discover new foods and meet locals at the Farmer's Market.  If you prefer, talk with our concierge in advance and have a fridge waiting for you stocked with all of your favorite foods and beverages.  Know your way around a kitchen or BBQ?  Molono Island is beautifully equipped with all new indoor and outdoor cooktops and ceramic nonstick cookware.  Call housekeeping when you're through and let them do the dishes while you have drinks on the beach or enjoy the overwater fish feeding platform.

Kayaks are available to you for exploring our reefs from the surface, popping over to the mainland for restaurants, or even exploring Santo's famous blue holes.  If you prefer, call the staff to explore with our experienced guides on a private boat-- all at no extra charge.

Surprise your loved one with a professional couple's massage under the stars on the beach, a deep-sea fishing expedition or a guided SCUBA dive in our world-famous waters.  Have our activities manager take you on a guided snorkel, or just spend time together in total seclusion, surrounded by nature.  It's up to you.

NOTE: Unlike other "Private Island" resorts, Molono hosts just one couple at a time, and all staff stay on the mainland, five minutes away to ensure your total privacy.  Contact them 24-7 with any requests, including maid service, food delivery, adventures, questions, or transportation.
