The Honeymoon Studio comes with the entire island. The single room home is elegant and modern, but the real beauty of Molono Island is the untouched nature on the island and the pristine reef surrounding it. The west side of the island is gentle and sandy, perfect for swimming, kayaking, and sunbathing. The East side is cooled by trade winds and buffered from open sea by a barrier reef about a mile away from our house reef. Only gentle waves caress the shores, but these cooler waters bring nutrients to help fish and corals thrive.
The island's interior is dominated by tall, high-canopied hardwood trees and manicured gardens below. Wild Parrots and tropical birds are common visitors to the island. Catch a glimpse of them as you wander the island's pathways through patches of the orchids, ginger and fruits which grow wild in Vanuatu. Take in their fragrance mixed with fresh ocean air on a warm trade wind, take a sip of a fresh coconut, and find yourselves at home.
Modern Luxury and Beachfront Living
Vanuatu is a developing nation, and luxurious accommodations are virtually unknown here. Deeper Love Resort is a generation ahead of most other local stays, with modern appliances, a King sized bed (not two mattresses shoved together, but a Real King Bed!), Air Conditioning, dimmable lighting, Sonos sound system, and the safest, most delicious drinking water in Vanuatu. Internet in the rainforest or on the beach? We have the best. And when it comes to service, our staff will stop at nothing to make sure you have anything you might want 24/7.
Updated Kitchen
The kitchen comes with new appliances throughout. Microwave, full sized refrigerator/freezer, gas cooktop, and French press coffee maker. Open the Pass-Through windows and chat with your partner at the outdoor kitchen bar while you make a meal or pour some drinks. Should you decide to cook, whether it is a BBQ on the covered wraparound deck or in the kitchen, Garden and Ocean Views surround you making meal prep soothing and pleasant. We keep a couple of coconuts in the fridge at all times. They're perfect for putting in your kayak or cooling down after playing on the beach, and they're twice as delicious when they're cold.
Landscaped Grounds
Molono Island is four and a half acres, or almost two hectares. Walk anywhere on the island on manicured trails through gardens of flowers, palms and tropical fruits. Roam through our natural forest and find patches of native coconut trees, banyan trees, and ancient hardwoods. Every effort has been made to preserve the gorgeous bird habitats here, and we commonly have colorful avian visitors from the mainland flitting in the trees above.
Clean Energy Transportation
Nansi and David make their living producing museum quality paintings inspired by their SCUBA and Coral Reef experiences. As such, they know firsthand the damage being done by the burning of fossil fuels to coral reefs and vulnerable oceanfront property. The couple have prioritized sustainability, and this starts with abundant solar power, the only power used on Molono. The inflatable RIB boat used for most excursions is powered by a state-of-the-art 9.9HP Elco Electric outboard motor- a first in all of Vanuatu. Kayaks and a sailing catamaran round out the environmentally sustainable fleet, leaving the benzine burning barge only for backup emergency transportation or moving construction materials too heavy for the light transport boats.
