Molono Island
Nansi and David are fine artists, widely respected for their pioneering work in bringing ocean life and coral reefs to canvas. A passion for ocean conservation and a love of diving and snorkeling the world's tropical coral reefs led them around the globe on a search for the perfect tropical island studio.
Today, they are designing that studio on Molono Island, Vanuatu. In addition to the studio, the couple are designing a low-impact eco-paradise as a personal residence, with the idea that it could also serve as the perfect romantic getaway for honeymoons and romantic celebrations.
Molono has two main beaches; a swimming beach facing the lagoon and the other with rocky surf, facing open ocean. Just steps from the swimming beach is an elegant studio bungalow with spectacular ocean views. Fall asleep in a King sized four-post bed with premium mattress and linens, and wake up to the sound of the surf. Have the staff bring you coffee and breakfast, or preserve your privacy by making your own coffee and picking fresh papaya and bananas from the garden.
On Molono, you will only see staff when you call them on the radio. Have as much or as little staff around you as you prefer. They are a three minute boat ride away with food, drinks, housekeeping, or transportation in our clean, silent electric outboard RIB to local restaurants and attractions.

Owner's Statement
Our Vision:
We have created a modern home, where romance meets barefoot elegance. This home functions as our South Pacific art studio where we can be inspired by world class diving and snorkeling, and create on the spot while the inspiration is fresh. The moment we set foot on Molono Island, we knew we had found our second home.
We love our home in California, and all of our friends and family there. We envision spending about half of our time in California, and half in Vanuatu. When we are in California, we would like to share our little tropical paradise with adventurous and romantic couples who seek the ultimate in privacy and luxury.
Molono Island is romantic for two, but inviting for extended family and close friends.
